My life changed when I stopped trying to move away from the past. When instead I made the conscious choice to look only toward the future and see it in a new way did things begin to change and the changes were immediate! I started to experience a positive, healthy and prosperous future I just could not imagine and it continues right up until this very moment. Nobody Can Undo the Start The discovery that nobody can undo the start they’ve been given in life or the experiences they’ve had along the way opened my eyes and mind to seeing my future in a whole new way. But doesn’t that seem just a bit too obvious and far too simple for a life changing ‘moment of truth’? I would have to agree and say ‘yes’ had I not been in the new position I am today. The past is the past and it’s there to stay. Nothing you or I can think, say or do will ever change this reality. Again, hardly ground breaking news! But here comes the clincher. Have you ever heard a child or even an adult exclaim, “I’m thirsty!”? I have and I’ve also said and thought it many times myself. But I remained thirsty until I took a drink. How Thirsty Are You? For someone who is really thirsty those first few mouthfuls of drink are indescribably good! You would know that for yourself I believe. So what’s my point about being thirsty and how does it relate to a new beginning in your own life? If you’re habitually caught in the trap of dwelling and over focussing on the past like I was then you are a person with a thirst. And here comes the secret of this whole message. Nothing will change until something changes. So important I need to repeat it for this is the ‘take way’ message from this article. Nothing will change until something changes. Make the Decision You will remain thirsty until you make the decision to take a drink from the positive, healthy and prosperous future you can begin to see. Choose now not to look back at the negativity that lies sleeping in the past. Making that decision IS the very first change required and it’s all that is needed to get you started.
