What is Hypnosis Induction

By: Jim Sullivan

Curious about hypnosis induction? You may have heard of it, or maybe you haven't, but chances are that you have most definitely heard of hypnosis. People use hypnosis for a variety of things. Some use it to help them relax, whereas others use it to help them give up a bad habit. The list goes on and on.

Hypnosis induction is simply the act of hypnotizing someone. It is the beginning of the hypnosis session.. You have probably watched television shows and movies that have shown individuals being hypnotized. The part when the hypnotist is having their subject stare into their eyes or some type of crystal ball is defined as the induction aspect of the session.

The ingenious thing about it is that everyone can learn how to perform hypnosis induction on other people, as well as themselves. You can be trained to both fall into and come out of the trance state of mind. In order to become hypnotized, you must first learn how to begin.

The first thing everyone needs to do is to find themselves a place to take a seat and relax. There doesn't need to be any disruption. Make sure that where you choose to sit is silent and comfy. The next thing that you will need to do is take some deep breaths and begin visualizing a place extremely serene and comforting. Next, begin imagining that you are at the very top of a flight of stairs walking downward as you count backward from ten, slowly reaching your beloved location. Carry on doing this for a couple of minutes. Make certain that you do not hurry the process. Occasionally, it can take as long as a 25 minutes to an hour for the hypnosis induction process to work.

You can use hypnosis induction to help you lose weight, give up smoking, believe in yourself, increase your self-esteem, and basically everything else that involves self-improvement. All you are doing is imagining that you have already reached your objective. You are subconsciously telling yourself that you have already made it. You can utilize positive affirmations all through the process to help you succeed much quicker.

A great idea would be to create a tape of yourself telling yourself that you can do it. Record yourself using positive affirmations such as, "you can do this", "you no longer need those cigarettes", "you are beautiful and you know it, and the whole planet thinks so", etc. Imagine yourself giving up the things that are hindering you from achieving success.

Some of the things that may help you while attempting hypnosis induction are candles with soothing scents, dark curtains, white noise, and CD's with soothing sounds playing in the background. It is best to have a chosen space where you can perform your sessions. If you have a couch or futon that you can rest on, you are likely to be more successful since the more comfortable you are, the easier it will be.

If you can attempt hypnosis induction with a optimistic outlook, you will do just fine. Remember that you can utilize the same methods on other people that you utilize on yourself. It may take a couple of sessions before you achieve total hypnosis, but like anything else, it takes training and patience. Allow yourself some time before becoming an expert as it will not occur overnight. In time, you will notice that you can focus your mind better on your goals and experience harmony that you never thought would occur - all because of hypnosis induction.
